About Us

Ivyruth Andreica, PharmD, BSN, FISMP, is President and Safety Officer of VistaCrest Consulting, a firm that provides safety input, strategy and guidance to teams and companies.

With almost 20 years in healthcare experience as a pharmacist and a critical care nurse, Ivy has a very unique set of experience. Ivy is specialized in medication safety but has worked in varying environments from start-ups to fortune 500 companies, allowing her to appreciate the nuances of each environment.  

After working a few years as a clinical pharmacist, Ivy felt the need to bridge her nursing and pharmacy experiences by doing a 1-year Medication Safety fellowship at the esteemed Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP). 

Ivy has worked with in the MedTech field for over 10 years and has deep interest in teaching and coaching. 

In addition to consulting, Ivy is serving as an advisory member of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, a Co-Chair of the Measurement and Transparency Taskforce and advisor to Healthcare Quality Education committee at Betsy Lehman Center, where she is assisting the State of Massachusetts elevate the quality and safety of healthcare delivery. 

Previously, she was a subject matter expert at a start-up company, where she supported the successful development, validation, and submission of a smart pump infusion system (pump and software in a medical device) to the FDA.  She also worked at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Trauma 1 hospital as an Attending Clinical Pharmacist in the Emergency Department, as well as in ICU(s) including Medical City of Dallas (Medical ICU nurse) a high acuity 700 bed hospital.

Ivy has published and presented on various topics related to medication errors and smart pumps.
